The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) and the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen mutual support and cooperation.

DIANA brings together governments, industry and academia to work with start-ups and other innovators to solve critical defence and security challenges, and support the development and implementation of their ideas into businesses.

The MoU seeks to establish a partnership between DIANA and NSPA based on mutual trust that will deliver effective solutions in the areas of policy, planning, scientific research and development. The areas of development will include emerging and disruptive technologies of interest for defence, security, military or dual-use, procurement and acquisitions, and mechanisms to enable cooperation and secure information sharing.

NSPA and NATO DIANA strengthen mutual support and cooperation
NSPA, as NATO’s lead organisation for multinational acquisition, support and sustainment, will collaborate with DIANA to identify rapid adoption opportunities and leverage innovative technologies. To do so, NSPA will offer its legal and governance framework for nations that wish to cooperate, and provide an interface with industry to progress towards production.
